Jay Bourgeois founded JJ Hardwood Floors eager to bring to the hardwood floor industry the highest quality workmanship and an uncompromising level of service. Industrious by nature, Jay put himself through school sanding floors after classes each day and weekends. While at Wentworth, Jay completed an internship at JJ O’Brien and Sons, a site development company. He started doing surveying work and finished as an assistant general manager, in charge of 50 men. Soon after graduating from Wentworth Institute of Technology in 1986, Jay decided to venture back into the world of hardwood floors. He still remains close friends with Gerrard O’Brien to this day. In 1989, he started the company, and now, more than thirty years later, his customers find the same high standards of quality and service woven through every floor the company builds, installs or refinishes. Jay is a member of the National Wood Flooring Association (NWFA), married for 22 years, father of four kids, and on weekends, can be found enjoying soccer games with his family.
